We can produce custom Lithophanes from your artwork or photographs, with stunning three-dimensional detail that faithfully reproduces the image of your choice. The process involves creating the original carving in wax, making a master mold from that carving, and then producing plaster production molds from the master mold. We then use the plaster molds to cast the individual porcelain panels.
For this painstaking process, we charge $400 for a night light sized piece, approx 4 ½” by 3 ½”. (Larger projects will cost more, depending on the size, and there are limitations to how large we could go.) With the mold, we can make as many copies of your artwork as you wish, so the more you get, the less they cost to make. There is a 25 piece minimum first order at retail, and a 50 piece minimum at wholesale.
We've produced many custom Lithophanes, using company logos, club emblems, loved ones’ photographs, paintings, and drawings. A small sampling is shown below. Our custom Lithophanes have been used as special event commemorative pieces, promotional pieces, corporate giveaways, memorials of loved ones, as wedding gifts, and simply cherished as family heirlooms.
